Kadet Wallet

Web Extension

This case study explores my involvement in improving the functionality and user experience of the Kadet Wallet.

Joining the project during phase 3 and phase 4, our team focused on refining the wallet's full-on look, design system and function.

As a UX/UI designer, my primary responsibility involved refining and enhancing features based on research findings. I actively collaborated with the project manager, UX writing team, developer team, and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and well-coordinated approach to design improvement.

Navigating and Driving Improvements in Phases 3 and 4

Analyze research result.
Phase 3.
I joined Phase 3 during the final three weeks of the project, requiring me to swiftly immerse myself in reading, learning, and synthesizing the provided information, as well as understanding the usability test results from the Research team to collaborate effectively with the Design team.
Phase 4.
Over this timeframe, my understanding of the project grew. Yet, as the project objectives have shifted, my focus now shifts towards obtaining specific information to align with the goals of this phase.
Brainstorm to Design.
Phase 3.
During this phase, we iterated based on usability testing findings. After identifying main feature issues, we held a design brainstorm session.
Each team member presented their design rationale and potential solutions. We then validated solutions against objective criteria, combining the best into a unified design.
Phase 4.
Refining completed work from Phase 3, ensuring alignment on crucial information.
Dividing design tasks for priority features, collaboratively evaluating, refining, and sending to the research team for testing.

the challenges 📱

The key challenges I navigated in phases 3 and 4

✦ Identify the right problem

  • Discussing the identification of the correct problem :Is it a UX content issue or a UX design issue?
Occasionally, the team needs clear communication to determine the true problems. Is it related to unclear design elements, confusing user experience or flows? Or could it be that the content itself is not clear enough and is causing user confusion?

✦ The time factor

  • Time limitations necessitate us to evaluate design solutions and consider the trade-off between time and efficiency due to the project's time intensity.

✦ The people factor

  • The human element: Life events occur, leading to individuals dropping out midway through projects. This also impacts the team's timeline, requiring swift adjustments and adaptations to meet milestones.
